Singapore

The territory of Singapore spans a tad smaller area than New York City.

Singapore consist of a main island along with 63 surrounding isles. The main island has a total land area of 699 square km.

Singapore is considered a microstate, being that it is a city-size country, similar to the Vatican and Moncao but it is significantly bigger than Monaco and Vatican City. It is the smallest country in Southeast Asia.
However, within its miniature size is a thriving growing economy. In only a century and a half, Singapore has swelled into an active commerce and industry centre.

Singapore is categorized as being very distinguishable since it is the only Asian country that has English as its primary language. Moreover, Singapore boasts one of the largest ratios of foreigners worldwide. Roughly, 36% of the population are persons born elsewhere plus foreign workers are 50% of the service sector. Singapore's optimal location, well-run facilities, exuberating cultural events and tourist attractions collectively add to its popularity as a leading destination for either business meetings or relaxation and tourism.

The location is very good because Singapore is connected to Malaysia by two causeway bridges, and a brief ferry trip to the Indonesian key islands of the Riau archipelago. An affordable airplane fare to Thailand and the Philippines are done with ease. Singapore has convenient access to all of Southeast Asia with its airport that is well served by greater than 69 airline companies.
